The 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Spirit - The Mandarin

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has announced the launch of The Mandarin, a limited-edition spirit curated in partnership with Two Moons Distillery to celebrate the hotel’s “60 Fantastic Years”.

'The Mandarin' is meticulously crafted with a selection of 8 botanicals, each inspired by the hotel's oriental heritage.

Drawing inspiration from the essence of the hotel’s beloved room fragrance, The Mandarin includes a combination of Osmanthus and Grapefruit which can be found in the room fragrance. Kaffir Lime Leaf is also used to add a subtle homage to the hotel’s Oriental heritage and makes up the bright, zesty and inviting aroma of The Mandarin overall. Two Asian spices are also incorporated in the spirit, Ginger which is renowned for its culinary and medicinal benefits, helps to add a touch of warmth and depth to the spirit palette as well as Oolong Tea, tying The Mandarin Oriental spirit back to Hong Kong’s vibrant tea culture. The Mandarin also incorporated coriander seed which adds an exciting kick to the ending note of the spirit and works harmoniously with the ginger to create a tantalising burst of spice.
